Prepared trains for service, move trains around in yards, cuts and add trains together,

Operate work trains and refuse trains.

Convey trains into facilities, for inspection and repair

Operated all-electric, electro-pneumatic, all-relay, centralized traffic control, and mechanical interlocking machines.

Monitor train movements

Responsible for the safe passage and proper routing of trains over tracks and switches in assigned territory.

Operate public address systems and starting lights,

Maintain records, prepared reports, and perform related work.

Responsible for the safe, timely, and proper operation of trains in customer, yard, and work train service.

Open and close doors, make proper announcements, and set up the automatic announcement system.

Interact with the Train Operator, Supervision, and the Control Center while in service.

Provide flagging protection.

Work as platforms conductors in the stations, patrol platforms, assist customers in safely entering and exiting trains.

Operate hand-thrown switches in the yard.

Make reports of unusual occurrences and perform related work.
