Todd Switala

Responsible for mentoring and training of new caseworkers at Lucas County Children Services. This includes classroom setting for training as well as hands on training in the field of child welfare.

Responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse and neglect of the children who reside in Lucas County. This includes assessing future risk to children in their home as well as providing support services to families in crisis. Also as a part of this position is the investigation of "Out of Home Care Referrals". These types of referrals are when professionals who deal with children as a part of their employment are accused of maltreatment of children. This position also includes working with service providers as well as Juvenile Court to ensure the safety of children in the community.
