As an antique of the ever popular Las Vegas Arts District, the law center was in need of some necessary and cost effective updates. I replaced all fixtures, wiring, connections, and re-built sources to bring up to newer coding for inspections as a place of public patronage - safety of clients and employees being a crucial driver, but appeal and efficiency (LED conversions) came into play giving me little more broad experience in decor as well....It LOOKS as GOOD as it now functions.
I've done some conversions and installs of different lighting in Mr. Whipple's home, as well as at the Family Ranch in Alamo, NV. I completely rebuilt a mobile home there from floors to new drywall to roofing....Painting interior and exterior...resized windows and doors - the new mobile's better than the main house....structurely of course.
*I over-saw many projects from custom cabinetry to laying tile, all the while maintaining a positive ,productive, and SAFE environment/atmosphere for staff and sometimes owners were present during our work hours, so it was very important to be quiet, attentive to our projects, and expeditious in completing projects as knowledgeable professionals..... I did electrical replacements i.e.conversion to LED, installation of various fixtures such as chandeliers and custom lighting. I assisted with the drywall install, laying tile, when necessary, painting mouldings, etc.
I was responsible for the U Box operations there. I initiated a storing system for leased and stored boxes; prepped for lease and shipping boxes, and returned boxes needing rebuilding to certify SAFE for re-lease and shipping...and possibly storage. I ordered materials for rebuilds; I managed staff; I operated fork lifts on a daily basis and am CERTIFIED for such duty. My department prepared and pulled boxes which were warehoused or rebuilt for travel. I am also OSHA 10 certified.
I began work with AHE as a call-in skilled temp. from PeopleReady. Their project being all electrical for The Gap Warehouse Store at Town Square, Summerlin. I was asked to work permanently with them after my 2nd week!! I worked with a great mentor, "Homer..." I don't believe I've ever learned so much and so FAST from a more interesting, professional, smart and witty, wise and skilled teacher as Homer. I got a well rounded, experience filled, and FREE education all while travelling and making great wages too! We worked on underground projects, did both residential and commercial projects ranging in size from a couple hundred dollars to some pretty serious hundreds of thousands of dollars with the safety/danger levels varying just as much. The entire time I workd for them, We never once failed an inspection for either safety or regulations.

I began my studies and was very interested in the various disciplines. I also enjoyed the physical training these disciplines demanded. I was living on the east coast at the time and saw the crime was a terrible challenge so I decided to teach these martial arts, which are DEFENSIVE and never meant to be OFFENSIVE, by creating a school for young kids where they'd stay out of the streets but be able to keep themselves SAFE if needed. It was a great success for about 18 years when I needed to relocate with my wife's family. I would like to do it again, but with the freelance work I do now, I have only 1 student once a week.
