Summary

I have always been interested in the transformational power of education to change lives for the better. After working as a musician, a substitute teacher, a community activist, a construction worker, a farmer, and a fund raiser, I know I am ready to become a full-time teacher. My motivation is now also driven, not only by my broad set of experiences, but the love for my newly born son. Becoming a father has deepened my understanding of the need for good teachers. My motivation to become a teacher is rooted in my desire to help form the learning skills, character, and dreams of the youth. I want to help young people learn critical skills in thinking and analyzing the multiple perspectives of history.
