As Harvest Manager I supervised over a dozen migrant farm workers engaged in propagating, cultivating and harvesting fruit in a nursery environment.
As a Park Ranger I was assigned to the Okaloacooche Slough where I was responsible for periodic prescribed burning of 35,000 acres, as well as mowing using large John Deere tractors with mowing decks.
As Spray Technician, I mixed herbicide and pesticide chemicals particular to the targeted plant or pest. Required to be able to identify on site; Brazilian Pepper, Cogan Grass, Caesar Weed and Rosary Peat. Operated and conducted periodic maintenance on all Forestry equipment including trucks, swamp buggies, tractors and mowing decks. Able to use hand held Garmin GPS systems, ATV's and other types of 4- wheelers, along with zero radius lawn mowers
As a shift leader I was responsible for making sure the customer where satisfied and happy with there service,taking care of the deposits and employees making sure that everything went smoothly.
