As the Materials Handling Supervisor I am responsible for the fork truck drivers in the cab assembly department at the tractor cab assembly
operations center. As well as manage all material coming in and out of the department. I am also cross trained in various other departments
as a Materials handling supervisor including 8R and 9R tractor assembly. My responsibilities include.
•Ensuring that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools
to successfully complete their job.
•Lead safety through regular safety communications, setting clear safety expectations
to drive the safety culture, driving engagement in the CI Safety and Ergonomic Risk
Assessment process, prompt near miss reporting with a focus on quick, thorough
safety corrective actions.
•Monitor processes, troubleshoot out of process activities, and generally supervise
material flow activities to ensure that parts move throughout our buildings via the
processes outlined.
•Lead employee engagement activities, while establishing a positive employee
environment through communications, feedback and overall guidance.
•Monitor individual/group performance and take corrective action including discipline,
as needed and respond to complaints to ensure the Company and employees adhere
to policies, practices, procedures, and work rules.
As the Floor Supervisor I supervise over the assembly of 8.1 liter and 12.5 liter engine and head production. I also supervise over our
shipping and receiving area. For assembly I delegated what each employee works on each day, train new employees, manager their PTO
uses and time cards. For shipping and receiving, I supervise over inbound materials and outbound product. I help resolve issues with
inbound materials that may be damaged or missing. I work with our master scheduler and a supply management planner from John Deere to
give them a time line of when finished product will be ready to ship out of our building. I work with our supply management specialist when
we need to count inventory to delegate who counts.
As the Kitting supervisor I was in charge of a small team that built piston liner kits for John Deere tractor engines as service kits.
