Tonya Trapani-Hoffmann

I have always been fascinated by the field of medicine, the human body and beauty. I grew up knowing I wanted a career in the medical world and found Nursing to be the perfect fit. I worked in the Newborn Nursery as a Nurse Assistant while finishing my BSN at San Jose State University. Upon earning my CA RN license, I was offered a new grad position in the Newborn ICU at Good Samaritan Hospital. While at Good Samaritan for over seven years, I went from new grad to RN III, often Charge Nurse, of the Level Three, 26 bed intensive care unit for the most fragile, premature, and sickest babies that are hospitalized. The skills I gained were immeasurable. Precise nursing technique, team work, compassionate care of babies and their families, communication, time management, patience, and how to remain calm in the most challenging of circumstances were at the core of my experience.

In December 1996, I had my first son. He had health issues as a baby. I went back to my job at the hospital after my maternity leave, but his health issues led me to leaving my job in exchange for becoming a full time mother. I had a set of twin boys in 1999, and daughters in 2001 and 2004. Raising a family became my primary focus and my nursing career took a back seat. We moved to Santa Monica in August 2009 where I continued as a full time mom and homemaker with the addition of an autistic stepdaughter. Raising six children and creating a supportive home environment has been a joy and a privilege. I moved my last child into college this Fall.

I've kept my nursing license active over the years as I hoped to come back to Nursing one day. I have always been interested in Beauty and Aesthetics, and the emerging field of Aesthetic Medicine is a great fit for my interests and skills set. I completed courses in the Art and Science of Botox and the Art of Dermal Fillers in the 2021 through the Esthetic Skin Institute. I thoroughly enjoyed learning and getting hands on experience with both. I am excited to continue down this path and am eager to learn about and perform other therapies including laser treatments, PRP, Microneedling, Cool Sculpting, Infusions, and more. I am a quick learner with a welcoming, professional bedside manner. I am excited to embark on a new adventure in a field that I find exciting, dynamic and rewarding.
