Effects of corn grown on dredge-amended soil on neonatal sensorimotor development, Summer 2022

• CURS grant research individual project that focused on the harmful impacts of maternal exposure to dredged materials gown corn on the brain and behavioral development of the neonatal F1 rats.
• Worked with and handled animal subjects.
• Taken care of animal subjects, including daily corn dosing.
• Performed sensorimotor behavior tests, wet (biochemical) lab, rat perfusion, brain storage, uses of microtome equipment, brain slide staining, microscope measurements of cortical thickness.
