Additional Information

I have experience in welding since 2009. Started in Boyd County High School, then after high school i went to one of the best rated welding schools in the united states. graduated from Hobart Institute Of Welding Technology in 2013. Soon after i graduated i went to the local 248 plumbers and steamfitters. I had to take 2 weld tests to get into the apprenticeship program. They gave me a years credit for passing the welding tests. I served a 4 year program, with 200 class hours a year and 1000 hours on the job training for each of the 4 years. In 2018 i became a journeyman and have been giving apprentices the on the job training which include these skills.


-Welding( on plate and pipe, using different types like SMAW, GTAW,FCAW,MIG)

-Hand Tool usage(what they are used for and how to safely use them)

-Reading Blueprints( all the symbols and knowledge to confidently interpret they print)

-Oxygen/acetylene Torch Cutting( how to assemble and properly use a torch to cut out plate or pipe)

-Crane Signals( how to tell a crane operator the right signal to move whatever object that the have rigged up)

-Safety(just everyday safety an knowledge of the trade that will get them home safely every night)



I've been in very many different workplaces for the union. powerhouses, Chemical plants, refinery's, steel mills, water treatment facilities, distilleries, and paper mills. learning something new from everyone of them, i have the skillset in welding , safety and instructing to get my students ready for a career.


I've been a foreman on many different occasions, leading my crew, I have always got my task done on time, by working safe and giving them the knowledge and material they need to perform on a high standard.
