Daily tasks:

• Using a fork lift, pallet jack, and hand trucks to move product around the store and warehouse.
• Running reports on all store products every morning to order correct stock quantities.
• Communicating with my sales team to see what additional inventory is needed beyond average store quality for the up coming week.
• Receiving and, checking inbound purchase orders into our inventory system.
• Making sure customer deliveries are going out in a timely fashion to the correct location.
• Closing out the drawer, and running deposit to the bank.

Weekly tasks:

• Rearranging the warehouse to maintain good work flow for our product pickers.
• Checking forklift over for problems and making sure it has enough water in the battery cells.
• Contacting vendors for problematic (damaged, missing, or spoiled) products.
• Scheduling store staff.
• Arranging store demos for new products.

I was in charge of everything not paint related in our hardware store. I was in charge of fronting shelves, making sure price tags were correct, and ordering products weekly. I also was in charge of all of the customer service in hardware department. If a customer was looking for a tool or part for a project it was my responsibility to help them find it or find a suitable fix. I also was in charge of cutting keys daily.
