Songwriting, Studying Hebrew, and Traveling

I started writing songs at Christ For the Nations Institute and lived in Israel for 3 months and that is why I want to study Hebrew.  I love traveling around the world when I have the time and money to do so.

Additional Information

When I studied abroad in Israel for 3 months, I took part in a program called Discipleship Journey in Israel (DJI) that lasted two months. We had classroom sessions where we learned more about the disciples and we'd go on excursions to the places that we would read about in the Bible. The first month was in the Jerusalem area and the second month was in the Galilee area. After the DJI program finished, I stayed another month and volunteered at a Bed & Breakfast called: Jerusalem Hills Inn, which is where we stayed during the first month. Jerusalem Hills Inn was located in Abu Ghosh, just a 10 minute drive from Jerusalem. During my volunteering time, I would sweep of the patio, wipe off chairs, straighten up rooms, and from time to time, I was given the task to go to the Prayer Room with my guitar and worship for a hour. On Sunday mornings, I attended prayer meetings in Abu Ghosh, and on Monday mornings I would attend prayer meetings at the Pro-Life Center in Jerusalem. I learned a lot from my time in Israel. I learned that I need to be able to adapt quickly and learn things quickly to be helpful at the Bed & Breakfast and not a burden. Upon my return to Texas, I started to work for my parents company, Southwest Tool & Supply. My parents noticed after I returned from Israel, I was working more efficiently.
