Brown Bear Guide

• Safely and successfully guided hunters utilizing spike camps in the extremely remote, challenging, and dangerous environment of the Alaska Peninsula.
• Involved in all aspects of guiding including client management, camp setup, cooking, firearm safety, spot & stalk hunting and trophy care.

Head Cook

• Maintained Cinder River Lodge as clean, comfortable base of operations for hunters & their guides during the brown bear season.
• Responsible for meal planning & preparation for up to 20 people
• Assisted in coordinating travel logistics to move people and goods to/from the lodge via commercial, charter, and bush aircraft.

• Lived aboard our 38' custom-built fiberglass hunting & fishing vessel.

• Field crew leader for intensive juvenile salmon mark/recapture study on Lower San Joaquin River, CA.
• Assisted in all aspects of project management including hiring, scheduling, pre- and post-study set up, and gear maintenance.
• Responsible for safe towing, launching and operation of three Boston Whalers used for Kodiak trawling - all daylight hours, 7 days/week, for 6-8 weeks each spring.

• Responsible for QA/QC of CWT salmon, database, and delivery to US Fish and Wildlife Service for CWT processing.
