Troy Blankenship

Within Dr. Randy Webb's STEM lab, a group research project for the FFA Agriscience Fair was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Boris Vinatzer. The focus of the study was formulating a natural solution to the exponential growth of harmful algae blooms in nutrient-saturated waters.

Within this research, I completed the following:

• Interpreted and analyzed research data to draw conclusions on outcomes.
• Performed research into study topics to increase knowledge and to provide valuable contributions.
• Prepared fact sheets, tables, and graphs to summarize research results.
• Collected, organized and input data into statistic software to provide a representation on how significant findings were.

• Reached out for each opportunity that was available
• Made impacts as local as cleaning up my high school, to providing meals to underserved in Nicaragua
• Learned the importance of service and the skills to work fluently with groups of reasonable size and accomplish tasks
• Communicated with staff members to stay informed about volunteer opportunities and events.

• Upheld the pillars of scholarship, character, leadership, and service
• Made impacts in my community and beyond
• Expanded my communication and leadership skills
• Maintained clean, neat, and operational facilities to serve program needs
