Created a college football and NFL pick em game using Google Sheets and Docs.
I am a passionate college football fan. And for the past eleven years while writing a now de-funk college football blog, I created a college football pick em game where my friends, readers, and I pick winners from the top 11 college football games of the week. This Pick Em became known as "Panda's College Football Pick Em". Each game is worth 1 point, except a couple a designated games known as money games which are worth two points. You also pick an upset pick that varies in point value depending on how big the upset is. I also created a separate pick em game for bowl season, which had a different point system.
The participant with the most points at the end of the regular season, is the "Pick Em Champion" and is awarded a prize of a team t-shirt of their choice (provided by me). In 2023, the prize became a pot collected by all participants.
In 2017, I took my pick em games to Google Docs to make running the game more efficient and organized. So I self taught myself how to use Google Docs to make this happen.
In 2019, I created "Panda's NFL Pick Em" to create a pick em game for those who are fans of the National Football League.
