-I have received the Latin I (9th grade), Latin II (10th grade), and English III honors (10th grade) book awards. Book awards go to the student in that class that are in the top grade point averages as well as being overall good students and having a hunger for the subject.
-I received the Harvard Book (11th grade) Award which is awarded to a student in the next-to-graduating class who displays excellence in scholarship and high character, combined with achievement in other fields. This award is chosen by a faculty vote.
-I received the Best New Talent Award (10th grade) from my theatre director for displaying hard work and outstanding talent in my role as Mrs. Fezziwig and Mrs Cratchit in A Christmas Carol and backstage manager and puppeteer for The Little Shop of Horrors.
-In the summer after tenth grade my school theatre group traveled through AHSTF to The Fringe Fest in Scotland where our original production of The Bard and the Riverboat won the Story-Weaving Award.
-I am a member of the National Honor Society.
-Participated in Theatre all four years as both an actor and a backstage manager/puppeteer. 9th grade, I acted in several small roles in Radium Girls, learning to quickly change between characters. 10th grade, I acted as both Mrs Fezziwig and Mrs Cratchit in A Christmas Carol and in the spring I acted as back stage manager juggling many quick changes, props, and two set changes as well as my role as puppeteer for Audrey II. The summer after I traveled to Scotland where I acted as Titania/narrator in my schools original production of The Bard and The Riverboat. 11th grade, I landed the lead role of Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing. I plan to act after the school year starts in my school's production of Pride and Prejudice.
-With my theatre group I also helped fundraise several thousand dollars for our Scotland trip. These activities included writing letters and participating in a cake sale in Bell Buckle's annual craft fair.
-I participated in Yoga Club in the fall semester of ninth grade.
-I was a member of the Green Feet Club until it was disbanded. We managed a native Tennessee certified garden and a tote bag design campaign fundraiser for Earth Day.
-I photographed the football team for the yearbook my 9th and 10th grade years.
-In the spring of my tenth grade year I was a starting member of the Short Film club where a friend, our sponsoring teacher, and I studied and planned horror short films. It is now a functioning club with lots more members.
-Both semester of my Junior year I participated in Cinema Society where I watched notable films and learned to discuss them amongst a group of my peers.
-I have been a member of the student elected Honor Council for my 11th grade year, and I will be Secretary of the Honor council this coming 12th grade school year.
