- As a galley supervisor I oversaw the preparation of 4 meals a day for 80 crew members as well as upwards of 200-300 refuges a day. I also served as an Officer of the Day (OOD). In this capacity I was left in charge of the ship in the absence of the Command. I was responsible for security, personnel management, and safety of the ship. I managed a team of 8 personnel.
- I served as the galley supervisor and Food service Officer for 15 months while my supervisor’s position remained vacant.
- Led the ships medical team in advance medical procedures to include transport, initial actions and stabilization as well as assisting a surgeon if needed.
- As the Officer of the Day I was responsible for the safety and well-being of the ship. I was the face of the ship and the one making decisions in the absence of the command.
- Served as the Command Drug and Alcohol Representative. I would assist command in all administrative actions as well as oversee the evaluation and treatment of members.
- As part of a Joint Training with the Galapagos Coast Guard, I hosted a brunch for 5 National representatives.
- Served as the Assistant Master of Arms. Oversaw entire ships sanitation standards as well as responsible for the procurement of needed supplies to meet that standard.

- As an IDFSO of Station Erie I was responsible for all operations involved in food service to provide meals to a crew of 20 members by myself. I was responsible for the procurement, sanitation, preparation, sales and documentation of finances.
- Was selected as one of five team members to represent the entire Coast Guard at the 45th Annual Joint Culinary Training Exercise to compete in the largest ACF sanctioned event in north America. Becoming the First Coast Guard team to win the Even while individually winning a gold and silver medal at the event.
- Was a member of the Pilot program to test The Naval Community College Program by attending as a student and providing input back for changes to be made.
- Assigned to the team tasked with reviewing the new sanitation manual and providing corrections and feedback for change.
- Was assigned as the housing officer. Oversaw the inspection of over 1000 homes a year. Flagging 63 percent of them as unsuitable. Winning 91 percent of the flags.
