Was responsible for the day to day operation of a major retail food chain store. Specifically I was responsible for the upholding of the customer service standards set by the company to make sure that all customers are served and were treated with the upmost courtesy and immediate urgency. I made sure that the store profitability was in line with set budgets and I managed a staff of 10 Dept. Managers and 85 to 100 associates that operate various departments such as Deli, Seafood, Meat, Produce, Bakery, and Grocery. We as a team assisted each other to make sure that our customer service standards were met by having product on the shelves, associates available to help customers and managers available to support our associates. I was responsible for the profitability of my store and I was monitored daily for the upkeep of inventory, safety, security and the training of my associates. I was able to analyze an forecast my budgets by the current trend of business. I am well capable of troubleshooting problems with the profit and loss statements to find ways to better manage expenses to put more profits on the bottom line. I am very successful at working with other managers and team members to acquire set standards and to uphold current work force mission statements. I am a great team player, manager and mentor to all of my associates.
I was responsible for achieving budgeted sales and margins in an assigned area. I was responsible for ensuring all corporate merchandising standards are maintained on a daily basis. I was responsible for merchandise resets, zone recovery,freight flow, daily inventory replenishment, price integrity, promotional and seasonal sets, product literature. I was responsible for the overall safety, security, supervision, training, mentoring and scheduling of all assigned personnel. I supported and maintained a sales culture, ensuring all associates drove sales through superior customer service. I direct and supervised a staff of 40 plus associates whose main objective was to provide excellent customer service and to assist in finding the right solutions for the customer. I was responsible for successfully making monthly goals consistently by training the associates and providing proper feedback so that they will feel confident in doing their assignments. Met and greeted customers daily to make sure that they are having a great shopping experience and assist them in any way that I could. I opened and close the location, making sure that the daily deposits got logged and processed. Did daily and biannual audits to make sure that the company's assets were protected and the losses were kept to a minimum. I completed installs of electronic equipment such as car stereos, amplifiers, speakers, mobile video and navigational systems and alarms into customers vehicles in a professional manner. I updated and maintained a catalog of training materials and technical briefs and manuals of new vehicles to make sure that the staff and myself stayed competent to do the installs properly. I made sure that all in store displays were working properly and were displayed in a user friendly manner.
