Miller Scholars Award Recipient, The George A. Miller Scholars Program, The George A. Miller Scholars Program provides outstanding transfer students the opportunity to develop leadership, research, and community service skills. Scholar's research local issues, develop a project based on the subject, provide solutions and apply them through public service. Every year ten low-income, first-generation students are selected based on their leadership potential, academic excellence, and their commitment to community service and education. I am developing academic research and leadership skills whilst attending a weekly credit-bearing course. I have integrated into a solid community with fellow Miller Scholars and have developed a research project prospectus under the guidance of a faculty mentor.
