I am a professional in the fine arts and their advocacy. My focus is primarily in the disciplines of literature and the visual arts, and specifically sharing transformative experiences with others. The importance of communal artistic expression has become evident through my diverse life experiences and how I approach my work. Whether incorporating it into teaching reading skills in elementary schools, being an instructor to undergraduates, or in the creation of my own poetry, this belief has guided me through. Over the past decade, I have come to believe that all forms of artistic expression are paramount to human connection. The connection matters. I live to be a part of it, no matter what it may take.
