  • I currently work at Lowe’s serving as the Inside Lawn and Garden Department Supervisor. I have been a department supervisor for 1 year. My department is responsible for all outdoor power equipment, and all seasonal items. I have at least 5 Associates that I supervise making sure they stay current on their training and are following the Core behaviors and SMART customer service required by Lowe’s. I am responsible for several different reports including cycle counts, bay audits and preparing for inventory. I served as a mentor to new employees for approximately 2 years, I helped guide them in their new position, helping them know how to engage with customers and provide SMART customer service to each customer. I personally received Lowe’s Platinum Star for Customer Service in less than 2 years.

I also worked in the recreation areas, and a member of the prescribed burning, and wildfire crew. In 1984, I attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, GA. I graduated from the nine week course and returned to my duty station with full Law Enforcement authority, which included the authority to carry a weapon and make arrests. My duties included but were not limited to patrolling the recreation areas and general forest area, enforcing all Forest Service Laws and Regulations.

  • Trained junior technicians on equipment operation and safety protocols to ensure compliance.
  • Checked timber stands to assess sales volume and potential quality and marked timber for harvesting.
