Certified Pharmacist Technician
15 Years 5 Months- My position was in Outpatient serving the Veterans at the Outpatient window.
- Optifill cart fill was another position I worked, filling many med bins for the Veterans.
- Billing medication refill slips, cleaning out return packages and categorizing the patients medication area for pick up is one of my organizational ideas that provided our Veterans better customer service.
- I also worked in the Customer Service Call area, filling refill requests by phone for our Veterans. I loved listening to their stories while processing their mail orders.
- I volunteered to fill a position at Alexander Nininger State Veterans Nursing Home, which is one of the many contracts the V.A. has with the State of Florida. It became a permanent position for me, which I truly enjoy. I'm Blessed to have such a rewarding opportunity.

19 Years- I worked in all areas: the Pediatric Satellite, making Neonatal hyperals, I.V. room, chemo room, checked in pharmacy deliveries, filled medication carts, crash carts, pre-packed medications, and restocked Pyxis machine.
- Throughout my tenure of nearly 20 years, they decided to create a position for me to reward me for my hard work and dedication as their certified senior technician. It was brought to their attention that I was the first technician to accomplish certification at North Broward General in Ft. Lauderdale, 1996. At that time, they were a 720 bed facility. I took early retirement for a new opportunity with the Miami VA.

- I became a Certified Pharmacy Technician in 1996 and have been active to date.
- I stay up to date with my TMS lessons, I have trained other technicians to cover my position during my vacation times and left the pharmacy with adequate supplies of medications pre-packed and on the shelf just to make their job easier.
- BLS-It was completed in my TMS lesson last year, still current
- Transcription Certificate received after being a CPT at Sheridan Vocational School in Hollywood, Florida, but chose to stay in Pharmacy.
