I took orders outside and greeted the customers with a warm smile and polite conversation. Then we would craft the order inside with great care and hand them to the customers. I was promoted to the shift lead position after three months of working at Swig. This position entailed opening and closing, sometimes solo. I would count the money in the cash register and make sure the store was in great shape before I left to take the money to the bank. This job was very important because the managers relied on the shift leads to run the store while they were not there. I would be responsible for giving the team members direction if necessary and dealing with customer's complaints.
I welcomed guests upon arriving to the restaurant and led them to their table. I always made sure to be friendly and create an inviting atmosphere, because a hostess is the first face you see when you walk into a restaurant and it is important to make a good impression on guests.
In August of 2024 I was rewarded team member of the month at Swig. I achieved this by completing my job with accuracy and efficiency.
I was promoted to the Shift Lead position at Swig in October 2024, where I received a raise and new job details.
