  • St. John’s Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) and St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital (SJPVH) are two acute care facilities within Dignity Health providing quality and compassionate healthcare to the communities they serve. This role oversees the staff education for all employees across two campuses, ensuring compliance with regulatory training requirements, providing professional opportunities for certification, supporting areas of clinical nurse excellence, and enhancing the patient experience through staff education, evaluation, and feedback. This position has reported to the Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive, and changed to report to the Vice President of Human Resources for the Central Coast Service Area in areas of Education. The Vascular Access team and Wound care staff oversight were added to this role for emphasis on nurse sensitive measures and quality goals related to Hospital Acquired Pressure Ulcer prevention and venous thromboembolism prophylaxis. This responsibility reports to the Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive for St. John’s Hospitals.
  • Selected Accomplishments:
  • Developed, implemented, and measured outcomes for new Assistant Nurse Manager training.
  • Nursing lead for quality measure outcomes for VTE achieving 99%-exceeding target.
