• Leads cross-functional teams in the discovery of critical requirements and needs of business units, evaluating emerging technology solutions that fit the need, developing technical and business strategies for trial, pilot, and enterprise deployment
• Support clinical/leadership/management in discovery, evaluation, formulation of non-traditional solutions and/or use multiple systems and services that are not inherently used together. Conducts in-depth analyses and provides recommendations and develops action plans. As needed, executes and/or manages the execution of the plans to completion.
• Lead the on-site evaluation (at Innovation Center and/or Hospital) of multiple vendor technologies and solutions (bake-offs). Develop an evaluation check-list enumerating key items to consider. Lead preparation activities, presentations, discussions, Q & A. Gather and evaluate information, prepare management reports and briefing papers for executives and senior management.

• Lead the evaluation, selection, and design of a Unified Communications Platform that would service the Northwell Health user communities.
• Served as Project Manager in the pilot installation of the selected Cisco Unified Communication System
• Developed and implemented a training program for technical teams to operate and maintain the installed Cisco UC system. Training included enterprise Engineers, Help Desk staff, local hospital IT techs who maintain and service day-to-day issues of Telehealth devices.
• Serving as the Unified Communications SME, I provided technical guidance to IT staff. I am called to work in solving complex systems, interoperability, architecture, or controversial user issues. I provide technical and/or procedural root-cause analyses. I make recommendations to change guidelines where necessary to reduce errors/issues and to optimize existing interfaces and/or work flows.

• Provides System Administration work and support to clients. Manage the design, configuration, operation and maintenance of Cisco Webex Collaboration systems & services, Cisco Communications Servers, Voice Mail Systems, Video Conference Systems, Hospital in-house paging systems, Siemens Communications Servers, etc.
• Act as technical lead in the implementation of complex software and/or hardware upgrades, migrations, and/or system End-of-Life replacements

• Successfully implemented several large multi-site, multi-phase Unified Communications deployments that require understanding of complex integrations of hybrid VoIP/TDM systems.

o Lufthansa Airlines – over 3,000 ports spread over airports and offices in the US

o Ford Health System – over 8,000 ports spread over 39 locations (includes 5 hospitals)

o Genesis Insurance – over 2,000 ports; includes a Call Center, Security and Identity Management System, OpenScape Video-Web Collaboration services, Real-time Disaster Recovery Fail-over, 3rd party integrated services.

• Responsible for all network and communications services and operations, service delivery to all campuses and research facilities. The community has an urban population of 22,000; this includes 116St Main Columbia Univ Campus, Barnard College, Teacher’s College, and parts of the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center.
• Negotiated and managed service contracts with voice and wireless carriers, public and academic internet service providers, private network (ATM, MPLS, Dark Fiber, Pt-to-Pt Microwave) service agreements.
