Summary

Recent graduate of Thrive University as a CRPA-PROVISIONAL-New York Certification Board as of 10/30/2024. Medicaid billable. I am awaiting on my CARC credential from the IC&RC. I have be educated through Harm Reduction course with Recovery Couch University. I live a life of long term sustained recovery/Wellness. I am seeking internship as a CRPA-P so I can Advocate for those at an stage of recovery and stages of change. Demonstrating good active listening skills, motivational interviewing, being a resource broker, and am familiar with much recovery capital. I have good communication skills using positive language in the areas of SUD and Mental Health Disorders. I bring much hope and enthusiasm threw my own life experience as well as the expertise I learned in my new certification. I know how to stay in my role while being a good team player. I enjoy problem-solving, and have positive life changing experience with MSR. I recognize there are many pathways to recovery. I am prepared to start a part-time internship/career and make meaningful contributions with commitment and drive to help others live a self-directed life yet gently guided.

While completing my C.A.S.A.C-T courses I completed 350 hour internship at LICR of Hampton Bays, NY. Inpatient Rehabilitation Center,

  • Gained valuable experience working within specific Addiction/Recovery field applying learned concepts directly into relevant work situations.
  • Facilitated Groups, with clients.
  • Gained hands-on experience in various family program settings establishing the links to health family support system, while learning about creating healthy boundaries
  • Observed client's toxicology screenings.
  • Documenting Biopsychosocial intakes.
  • Documenting all interactions with clients.
  • Began each morning listening and participating in staff/team meetings.
  • Learned when in doubt go to supervisor.
  • Utilized strong communication abilities during presentations which led to increased understanding among clients stages of change.
