  • I worked for TEKsystems as a temp agent remotely from home during open enrollment for Kaiser Permanente of Washington. As a customer service representative for this contract, I took a lot of inbound back to back calls for their Member Service Line. I was also required to make outbound calls to members known as scheduled activities (phone appointments) when necessary. For this position, however, I mainly helped members with their benefit questions, eligibility concerns, bill clarifications, requested ID cards and or specialized letters to be mailed, updated their contact information, assisted them with finding in network providers and even helped members change their primary care physicians. Working for Kaiser through TEKsystems was somewhat nice in the beginning, however I resigned mainly since I was a temporary agent with no room for growth within the company along with some other personal reasons. Right now I am currently searching for other employment and am available now. Please consider me. Thank you!

  • This was the second time I worked for the Washington Health Benefit Exchange (WAHBE) also known as Washington Health Plan Finder. However it was through TTEC Solutions instead. I worked remotely from home, for a seasonal contract only. During this time, I was a customer service representative for open enrollment and part of their special enrollment period. While I was an employee, I helped customers fill out their applications, enrolled them in qualified health and dental plans, enrolled them in Washington Apple Health (Medicaid), answered general inquiries, and even submitted tickets to resolve issues. I did this by taking back to back inbound calls, and I even took online chats with customers. Also during open enrollment, I was a mentor for my previous team. I helped other agents improve on the quality of their calls as well. I really enjoyed this contract. It was a decent job experience.

  • For LA Care Health Plan, through Faneuil INC, it was my second contact. I was transferred to LA Care within Faneuil INC, after my other contract with them expired. Like Regence, they are also a health insurance company. I worked for them as a Customer Service Representative for both their members and providers lines for one year. For this job, I enjoyed assisting people with their needs. This helped me increase my professional work skills as a CSR. For this position, I took back-to-back calls, while documenting at the same time. The calls involved many tasks. I helped callers with things like doctor changes, grievances, appeals, setting up transportation for members, claims, sending member ID cards, making doctor appointments for members, advising members what their premiums payments were, and I had many calls involving benefit quoting for both dental and medical, again for both members and providers. I was required to take inbound calls, and even make outbound calls. Also, for this job, I worked remotely full time, Monday- Friday, PST. This position taught me many things regarding how health insurance generally works, and it helped me grow my skills as a Customer Service Representative all together.

Also, it helped me create my foundation as a Customer Service Representative. For WAHBE, I took inbound phone calls during open enrollment season. I assisted many members with choosing their health and dental plans for the upcoming year. By quoting and comparing plans for them over the phone. I even took calls from brokers, at times as well. Within the calls, I advised the details of the plans. Such as what the monthly premiums, deductible amounts, copays, and benefits were. Overall, this job was an awesome experience and increased my knowledge regarding health insurance.
