First of all, I am grateful I have a job and one of the ways I show that is giving 100% each and every day. Another thing that I have noticed is that I love to grow and learn. Even with my English, I want to keep growing and learning it because it is my second learning. I have 10 years living here and I want to gain experience and I want to continue learning things about hospitals because I love working here. Helping people and working with others is another thing I am good at. Doing my part and doing my job well is essential to me.
I am in charge of the cleaning of Recovery and Prep, as well as PACU. I also help in the OR area distributing cleaning supplies for the PCTs or any other thing from my area that they may need.
I primarily focus on two sections of two buildings, cleaning the bathrooms and aisles. I disinfect and clean the bathrooms on the UPPER levels and I vacuum the carpet that covers both sections.
I worked at Childserve (Coralville). At this mental conditions clinic, I was in charge of cleaning the entire building. I focused on cleaning the floors, bathrooms, therapy rooms, the gyms that the kids used for recreation. I also worked on cleaning the kitchen and ensuring that it remained clean and safe to use. I also worked there during the COVID pandemic, going during the day (I normally worked the evenings). My main purpose then was to make sure the building was safe and disinfected for the few people that were able to go.
