Assists the Quality/Risk Director in the administration of the quality and risk functions, including but not limited to:
Working with hospital administration, departments and the medical staff to monitor and evaluate the quality of delivery of patient care services within the hospital.
Partners with the DQR to assess compliance regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Quality/Risk Coordinator assists the DQR in:
Provide post-acute inpatient rehabilitation working closely with a team of therapists, doctors, nursing staff, patients and their families. Treating patients recovering from four specialized programs which consist of amputations, fractures, strokes and spinal cord injuries. Rehabilitation treatments also include a patient caseload consisting of a variety of diagnoses which include: cardiac, brain injury, trauma, falls, and lumbar surgeries. Therapeutic interventions include, but not limited to: balance training, strengthening, gait training, bed mobility, functional transfers, functional mobility-related activities and safe use of medical equipment including wheelchairs. Facilitate family education meetings with patients and loved ones to provide disease specific education, fall prevention education as well as hands-on training of family members and care givers to ensure patient safety during ADL'S in their home environment.
Team member and a facilitator of a company wide fall prevention program. Provide training classes to new employees during orientation as well as current employees.
Clinical instructor to PTA students from Calhoun Community College and Wallace State community college during student clinical rotations.
