  • Foreman, CNC Machinist, Human Resources, Customer Service, & Quality Control: My responsibilities fell into nearly every category here

  • I also had to maintain all set-up boxes, the fixtures that went with them, updating and making copies of the prints, and ensuring job/part numbers were correct
  • I was given the special responsibility of creating a new filing system for both the office and the shop that eliminated the need for customer job numbers altogether to make the transition from the office to the shop to the employees easier to track and keep up to date
  • Along with that, I was given the sole duty of getting the tools for each job for the employees (only supervisors were allowed to get tools for jobs) as well as making sure they went back where they belonged, tracking how many tools were needed to keep all jobs running, which ones were broken and needed replacing, keeping files of the brands/manufacturers and style of tool needed for specific jobs, and keeping a full inventory of exactly how many tools were in the shop, where they were, who was using them, and ensuring they were accounted for
  • In addition, I frequently trained both operators on my shift and/or other shifts to do set-up and programming as well as specific jobs that only I knew how to do and also training new employees in safety and basic machine operation and set-up.
