- Oversee union-represented personnel, ensuring adherence to proper operating procedures. Counsel, discipline, and, if necessary, make termination recommendations as needed to maintain an efficient operation, all within the parameters of the labor agreement.
- Ensure productivity levels by supervising longshore workers to complete multiple rounds within the terminal/vessel operation. Conduct follow-up assessments before the end of the shift.
- Generate diverse reports and forms, including shift production, payroll, and safety summaries. Deliver reports to respective parties within specified deadlines.
- Organize, conduct, and document daily safety meetings. Comprehend and instruct longshore workers on adhering to safety procedures, implementing plans to address safety hazards.
- Take charge of investigating and reporting damages and liabilities to the relevant management and authorities.
- Act as a pivotal coordinator among parties, vessels, customers, and agents.
