  • The Warrior in Transition Barracks is a LEED platinum rating design build 80-person barracks that consists of 20 two-bedroom, two-bathroom modules and 20 shared living spaces to create a unified living complex. The modules are 100 % Americans with Disabilities (ADA) compliant per the Owner Design Requirements and include spacious bedrooms, a walk-in closet, individual bathrooms, and a shared living space.
  • The HVAC system is a geothermal system sized for 100% of the building heating, cooling and domestic hot water requirements, and photovoltaic panels to meet the net zero design. The DDC system is an open implementation of BACnet, with control points integrated to the existing base wide Johnson BACnet UMCS. Grey water was taken from showers, lavatories, and clothes washers, where it is taken through filters and into storage tank and pumped back into the building to for toilets water use and reduced the load on the sanitary system and the demand on potable water.
  • After the start of this project, I assumed additional responsibilities as an off-site Project Manager with my duties as the Senior Quality Control Manager. I worked closely with the Design Build firm and operations staff to complete this project with the contract completion time, superior quality, budget surplus, and outstanding safety record. Duties included but were not limited to the following:
  • Project Management
  • Assisted with contractor qualification statement prior to bid.
  • Conducted contract administration.
  • Performed design and request for proposal review.
  • Managed construction budget in excess of 13 million dollars including monthly owner billing, cost reports, subcontractor/vendor requisition review, and change order management.

  • I started this project as the Quality Control Manager and was promoted to Senior Quality Control Manager. I was entrusted to oversee and improve the Quality Control program at Purcell Construction. I developed new on-site document control procedures, inspection scheduling, and personnel training. I was able to reduce liability and increase staff awareness, education, and reporting activities. Worked closely with the Senior Project Management team to access the project and implement a revised schedule to reach contract completion. Duties included but were not limited to:
