Registered Orthopedic Technician- As an orthopedic tech working under twenty four plus providers my work involves assisting all Physicians, Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioner's with making sure the appropriate orthopedic materials are available for the proper adjusting, fitting and application of casts, splints, braces, and slings along with additional orthotic devices that are ordered directly from the provider. Following the application of the orders given, my assistance of documentation is inserted into the patients electronic medical records to keep track of the procedures that were performed and to provide proof that the patients left with these ordered devices.
