Started to work as a Security Officer with these responsibilities:

Maintain a secure building making sure only authorized persons are present.

Professional interaction with students and staff.

Patrol Building report any discrepancies, safety issues and breaches. Make potential corrective suggestions.

Respond to any incidents/emergencies/alarms then follow up with a written report.

Participate in various drills for readiness.

I was promoted to a Lead Security Officer which includes all the aforementioned duties plus these additional duties:

Schedule staffing for after hours programs at all 5 Schools (BCIT Westampton, BCIT Medford, BCSSSD Main, BCSSSD Transitions, BCSSSD Mt. Laurel Campus).

Monitor and capture photos and video from camera system from all 5 schools as requested by administration. Forward capture to administrators. Order distribute/supplies as they are depleted at all schools.

I was awarded Lead Officer of the Year.

Supervise daily operation to ensure safety, compliance and regulations of institution and all persons. Manage staff assignments, conduct performance evaluations. Coordinate inmate rehabilitation programs with professional staff to ensure redintegration. Conduct inspections of facility to identify security vulnerabilities and corrective measures. Analyze reports for proper completion and possible patterns. Respond to emergencies or send proper staffing to the area. Guide subordinate officers on best practices in the correctional environment. Improve inmate behavior by enforcing rules and guidelines.
