My career in law enforcement began when I became a certified boarding officer in the U.S. Coast Guard. I was trained in various aspects of maritime law enforcement. I have experience in counter-drug operations and have been directly involved in multiple drug seizures, alien migration interdictions, and anti-piracy operations.
After serving in the U.S. Coast Guard for 6 years and receiving an honorable discharge in 2004, I accepted a position as a Correctional Officer with the Florida Department of Corrections. I was promoted to Sergeant in 2006. I joined the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in July 2007. I worked in various assignments until I was promoted to Sergeant in September 2014, I worked in Security Operations and Inmate Management until I was promoted to Lieutenant in September 2020. I am currently assigned to the West Detention Center as the A-Shift Watch Commander.
During my career at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, I became adept in crisis management and staff scheduling. I have demonstrated leadership by supervising up to 80 staff and ensuring facility security. I am skilled in incident investigation and employing de-escalation techniques, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and safety.
