This effort received major media coverage in both Northern and Southern California.
· Foster and continue support of quality programs where industry, California Dept. of Food and Agriculture and the USDA work together on biosecurity, NPIP, outreach and surveillance programs throughout the state.
· Lobbied CDFA and USDA to change California from a wet to a dry tare weights and measures standards. Worked hand in hand with Foster Farms. Company estimated the savings were $25 million per year.
