He was a senior advisor on tax planning and tax compliance to U.S. and foreign multinational enterprises in industries such as finance (Brown Brothers Harriman, French bank Natixis), energy (Saudi Aramco, Schlumberger), commodities (Bunge, Noble), life sciences (United Biomedical), and manufacturing (Poongsan, Rheem). Over the course of his career, Bill also helped to organize, operate, and occasionally rescue a number of public charities and private foundations, including the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, the National Football League Alumni, and Hope for a Drug-Free America. As a globally eminent lawyer, he was admitted to the bar of the U.S. Supreme Court and was appointed to leadership roles in the American Bar Association, the European American Business Council, the Institute of International Bankers, the OECD Business & Industry Advisory Committee, the Transatlantic Business Dialogue, and the U.S. Council for International Business. He enhanced client relationships by providing strategic advice and guidance on industry trends and best practices.
