William (Bill) Cates

• Managed day-to-day business operations. Included the assets of Drake Window Cleaners, the Piedmont's largest customer-based window-washing/residential power washing company.
• Other services included: residential window replacement, gutter replacement and permanent gutter guard (Leaf Relief) sales and installation.
• Began in 2004 with the purchase of Window Gang of Alamance County. In 2006, WGAC merged with We Do Windows, Inc.. In 2014, I purchased Home Services USA. In 2017, I purchased Drake Window Cleaners. With these combined trade names and services, we amassed a customer list of over 3,000.
• Hired and managed employees/independent contractors to maximize productivity, participated in the actual work and maintained positive professional relationships with customers.
• Sold the assets of Drake Window Cleaners to Window Gang of the Triad in Dec. 2022. I maintain the Xterior Services name for use in consulting on various projects as they come up.
• Developed and maintained strong relationships with clients, resulting in repeat business and referrals.

I was recruited by the Sr. Minister at Memorial, Rev. Ed Biggers to come and jump start the music program there. Upon arrival, there were 16 singers, an organist/accompanist, and very little budget. Upon my leaving in May of 2011, we had 52 singers, an orchestra of 21, one of the finest organists in the state, and a program budget of mid 5 figures to use for teaching the gospel through music. All my church positions were "part-time".

Previously, I was Dir. of Music at Sedge Garden UMC (Kernersville), and Lows Lutheran Church in Liberty, NC. From 1995 to 2001, we were members of Jamestown UMC, Jamestown, NC and participated as volunteers for Rev. Ashby Brown in his splendid music program. I substituted as conductor for Ashby when he was away.
