• My leadership role with this company included planning, scheduling and quoting for various departments of the company. Thanks to the help of our vendors, we were able to train the employees with Iscar, Hyper Mill, and Part Maker. With the purchase of various pieces of equipment, yellow belt projects and M1 optimization, we were able to increase production and employee retention.

• As a machinist I set up and operated 60-inch vertical lathes. As a lead, I was in charge of a one-hundred machine, fifty-man facility. I allocated work to the proper machines, assisted the machinist with various aspects of their job such as troubleshooting, programing, inspection, as well as tooling and router issues. Also responsible for 5S activities, and ordering for the tool crib.

• 3rd shift mill machinist. Set up, operate different milling machines from Fadals to Snk’s. Due to a work force reduction, I was laid off.

• I held various positions with this manufacturer. Lead machinist on nights. I allocated work to the proper machinist, first article inspection, and shop safety. Then I was transferred into inspection where I did first article pieces, in process inspection, RMA’s, checked in raw material and I was being trained on the CMM before the company went bankrupt.

• Machinist of 3 and 4 axis milling machines. The company had a federal contract to build the landing gear for the Chinook helicopter. We had to work with castings and hardened materials.
