Having recently graduated from the Coral Springs Regional Institute of Public Safety’s Fire Academy, I bring a solid foundation in firefighting techniques and emergency response protocols. My commitment to excellence is further underscored by the successful completion of the EMT and Paramedic programs at Barry University, where I honed my skills in providing critical pre-hospital care. During my time in Paramedic school, I had the privilege of conducting the majority of my ride-alongs with the The Fort Lauderdale Fire Department. This experience not only allowed me to witness the department's commitment to excellence firsthand, but also provided me with the opportunity to establish meaningful relationships with crew members. Captain Roy Machin and Lieutenant Matthew Wells, in particular, recognized my eagerness to learn and took the initiative to mentor and shape me into a paramedic who met their high standards. After being fully involved with the hard working and family environment Fort Lauderdale has to offer, I knew this was the department fit for my future career. My journey in academics and athletics has been marked by a consistent pursuit of excellence. In high school, I maintained the highest GPA on the football team, earning me the Brian Piccolo Award in recognition of this achievement. Additionally, I received a Congressional Nomination from Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. Subsequently, I played Division One Collegiate Football at Jacksonville University, where I further developed my teamwork and leadership skills. Presently, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in legal studies from the University of Central Florida, and I am driven to pursue a Master’s Degree in Fire Science. My academic pursuits are aligned with my deep seated passion for the fire service, as I am eager to contribute to saving lives and protecting property in the future.
