First and foremost, I put my faith as the utmost importance to me. I recognize this may be controversial or ill-advised to put on a resume, but I also see it as a necessity to be made known even for opportunities of employment. My faith in Christ is a cornerstone to who I am as a person and I strive that every thing I do and have the chance to do, will bring honor to my Heavenly Father. I understand this aspect should be kept personal, but it is something I hold so valuable, that it supersedes any personal accomplishment or certification that I have been given or earned.
I am currently an International Elite Power Lifter. Yes, that sounds like a made up, exuberant title but that is what the ranking is titled. What started out as a hobby as turned into a sport. I began my slight obsession after graduating high school and entering my first power lifting meet at age 19. Being an individual sport, one's success is directly correlated to their work-ethic. It is a 24/7 sport maintaining the discipline to follow a proper nutrition regiment and training routine. The sport itself has instilled a level of physical and mental strengths I wouldn't have gained elsewhere. I have learned to apply the same work-ethic, adherence, and discipline to all areas of my life. It may just seem like lifting weights, but to better yourself in this sport you have to attempt things you've never done before. Pushing oneself out of a safe, comfort zone is a requirement to progress. Overall it is a defining part of my life that has taught me that anything worth having will not come easily. I strive to be the hardest worker in the room. That is only possible to do, by recognizing I always will have more to learn, more to teach and a continual capacity for growth.
In 2020 I adopted the position at Supplement Superstores as the social media manage which opened the door to another hobby and form of income; Photography and graphic design. That position introduced the ability to grow into a creative and artistic skill set to build and design my own photography business for a time and has held an important role in self-expression and ability to collaborate with others to bring their envisioned ideas to reality.
Over the past three years I have picked up traveling as my favorite hobby; Ergo over-landing and road trips with the goal to see all 63 National Parks this country has to offer. I currently have 31 National Parks under my belt, with only one being visited via plane thus far (it was in Hawaii, so a bit hard to reach via car). Spending time outdoors, and being able to experience the variety of terrain, demographics, and geography has been life-changing in a manner that I believe a lot of people never get to experience. The goal of the road trips is to reach over 5,000 miles in distance and to include multiple National Parks and Monuments on the route. Besides the ability to endure what most would consider a laborious or excessive amount of road time to reach new locations may be distasteful to many; Seeing the country evolve by the mile is one of the blessings of traveling so many miles, by road.
