I firmly believe that data is more than mere numbers; it reflects the complexity of communities, regions, and experiences. Each data point symbolizes a narrative waiting to be unraveled. My goal is to decode these narratives and understand the individuals they represent. Though data offers valuable insights, it's through blending it with qualitative and quantitative research that we can genuinely comprehend the people behind these figures.
Heart Failure Predictions, 11/01/22, 12/01/22, Lake Forest College Department of Data Science, Analyzed a heart disease prediction database, visualized data using matplotlib, and collaborated with a partner to develop a predictive model using logistic regression model. Quantitative Research: Religiosity, 01/01/22, 05/01/22, Lake Forest College Department of Sociology/Anthropology, Semester long research: Created and conducted surveys and utilized SPSS to evaluate and create visualization and pie charts, to measure the level of religiosity and how it relates to campus engagement. Qualitative Research: Overcoming Barriers, 08/01/21, 12/01/21, Lake Forest College Department of Sociology/Anthropology, Semester long research: Conducted research by interviewing students to evaluate academic progression of first-generation students. Created figures for visualization using Excel based on the data collected.
