· Investigate dig ins resulting in damage to DPL facilities and make determinations as to who is at fault that will assist the claims group in collecting for the cost of repair.

· Intervene on jobsites to stop unsafe digging practices and follow up with training advice and assistance. Assist locators and excavators in a proactive manner to reduce dig ins to PHI facilities.

· Provide ongoing assistance through collaboration with Construction and Maintenance on difficult locates to ensure facilities are marked as required by the Delaware Damage Prevention Act.

· Perform audits on the Line Locators to ensure their marks of sound quality and meet performance expectations.

· Protect the Company's assets and self-insured retention by managing the field investigation of Property Damage claims.

· Met with construction companies to go over their plans for new projects and how underground utilities might impact them.

· Performed PHI Safe Digging Practices presentations to Delmarva staff and Delmarva contractor of choice staff.

· Coach in proper communication between supervisors, locators, excavators, and homeowners.

· Investigated underground line strikes and damages to South Jersey Gas company property.

· Investigation was documented with the use of several internal programs, a damage kit, a sketch, and photos.

· Assisted in the recovery of funds that was lost because business property/equipment was damaged.

· Assisted with field training new hires to ensure they understand the significance of their work, proper print reading, and underground locating.
