In my current role as a Clerical Officer for Community Paediatrics, I am responsible for daily communication with patients and their families, assisting them with appointment scheduling, addressing issues, and providing support for any queries. My role has enabled me to develop strong proficiency in various IT systems, including Microsoft Office packages, Cerner, EMIS, and WinScribe, which I utilize to ensure efficient administration and accurate record-keeping.
I also took on additional responsibilities, such as typing and distributing medical letters, which requires attention to detail and adherence to confidentiality and data protection regulations. Working both independently and as part of a team, I prioritize clear communication and organizational skills to maintain and verify the accuracy of medical records. Ensuring that records are up-to-date and appropriate for use by consultants is a key aspect of my work, as is safeguarding patient information in line with data protection standards.
During my time at Co-operative Food, I gained valuable experience in several key areas, including stock replenishment and rotation, ensuring that shelves were consistently stocked and organized. I provided excellent customer service by assisting customers with their purchases, including the sale of alcohol and cigarettes, adhering to all legal and store policies.
I was responsible for money handling and managing till operations, accurately processing transactions and maintaining a balanced cash register. I also dealt with difficult situations, resolving customer concerns in a professional manner to ensure a positive shopping experience. Throughout my role, I worked both independently and as part of a team, contributing to the efficient and smooth operation of the store.
As a summer temporary employee at Grays Schoolwear for multiple summers, I provided excellent customer service, assisting both older and younger customers with their purchases and offering product advice. I was responsible for delegating tasks to other staff members to ensure the efficient completion of daily operations. Additionally, I was trusted with handling money, processing online orders, and managing the daily cashing-up process.

I ensured the café was well-stocked and organized for smooth daily operations while maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards in both the café and play area. My role also involved conducting daily equipment checks to ensure everything was functioning properly.
