Math, Physics and Engineering
My objective is to research and develop new technologies that advance society and further our evolutional development. Currently a full time, first semester, student at Northern Illinois University, transferred in with a 3.1 GPA from the College of Lake County. I am finishing my bachelor's degree in Engineering and Engineering Technology and then plan to proceed into a graduate program for Mechanical Engineering.
I work in logistics where I take care of the stores . I restock shelves, unload trucks, and work as a team with the cashiers when they require items from the store warehouse. It also requires a little problem solving because it is a newer store with very little space. There are times when we order much more product then we have room for so I need to be able to work with the constraint of little work space and still keep everything orderly.
My job was to prepare orders for customers. Pallets and single boxes would show up from orders for different hospitals, fire houses, pharmacies, etc and I would consolidate and evaluate each pallet to make sure each costumer would receive the right items and follow any specific instructions that the hospital would give about how they would like their pallets to be processed.
I was also selected to act as a back up leader for the whole dock operations team . This position required that I had verbal skills, problem solving skills, and that I was able to work under pressure in order to make sure that every truck got out at their correct time. It was my job to keep the team together under the pressure of the time constraint, collaborate with both the dock team and the drivers and be able to adapt to the ever changing environment in the warehouse
