Zachary Anderson

I operated in several capacities often simultaneously in a fast paced, results oriented environment. My responsibilities included picking, shipping, receiving, purchasing, cycle counting, data entry, inventory investigations, traceablitiy proofs and internal auditing of processes.

For Costco Wholesale I helped pick and assemble product for shipping and freight. I built pallets and helped to provide reliable and quick service to our customers. I cross-trained in multiple departments for multiple positions. Doing so required the use of various mechanical and digital systems. I also helped with cycle-counting and other inventory control procedures.

During my time with the Ivar's Commissary I trained as a packer, the day packing lead, the night packing lead, a warehouse operator, the warehouse lead and the sole operator, and auditor in an inventory management department. I operated forklifts, scissor-lifts, electric pallet jacks and manual jacks. Aside from this I also helped integrate and became the main operator of our new inventory management system.

I managed all warehouse and inventory management operations including shipping, receiving, auditing, order picking, cycle counting and sales sample management. I cross-trained in multiple departments and effectively managed and trained up to four employees at a time.

This involved interfacing with every department in the building including our QA department, our Sales department, Production and IT.

I learned to operate with autonomy, establishing my own goals and seeing to their completion: which lead to my receiving five promotions in three years time.

My time with MWI has helped me build varied and extensive experience in shipping, receiving, inventory management, and warehouse upkeep. I helped to maintain day to day operations throughout the departments, picking, packing, wrapping, calling in for pick-ups, and solving problems quickly and diligently. All of this while working with a high degree of accuracy and keeping my work area clean with a keen focus on workplace safety.

I was also a member of the Safety Committee- responsible for preventative measures against accidental injury. And I have been forklift certified.

In my former position I helped stock product to the sales floor during the business's off hours. I am responsible for receiving shipped products, working it to the floor, storing excess product quickly and accurately, auditing storage records, inventory management and data entry -as well as maintaining a clean and safe workplace environment.
