Highly motivated and resourceful with a strong background in mathematics, physics and real-world engineering experience. Interned at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and apprenticed in a metal fabrication shop to design and fabricate a mountain bike frame. Deep interest in design, energy, and manufacturing. Lead the analysis of and was responsible for all calculations and simulations involved in the senior design project of a server rack transporter. This included DFMEA, fatigue test design, FOS calculations, FEA studies, and redesign of subpar components. When faced with a major design oversight by other team members, I redesigned and executed the CAM for a linear reduction gearbox in one day, resulting in a successful completion of all tests of the gearbox. Research experience as a undergraduate and graduate student, with a focus on fracture mechanics and residual stress measurement techniques. Developed the SOP for the wire EDM used in graduate laboratory.
