Over the past year, I have grown from a new student who felt confused, lonely and scared in a foreign country to an enthusiastic person who wants to help new students adjust to life here. With the help of the International Student Mentors at South Puget Sound Community College, I have not only familiarized myself with the city, but I have also gained a lot of invaluable advice on how to live and study here, which has made me feel very welcome and hopeful for the future. I find myself very passionate about being a part of International Student Services (ISS), which is not only a lucrative job for me, but also a way to realize my self-worth.
