Highly motivated, Animal Studies specialist and current Veterinary Assistant looking to further a career which is nature-oriented and allows me to grow my current skills. While at Eastern Kentucky University, I interned with Mill Creek Veterinary Center to complete my degree in Animal Studies. Following the completion of my internship, I was offered a full-time position at the Vet Center as an assistant. Since then, I have been able to further my experience with public service and hands-on application with animals ranging from domestic to exotic. I have become very fond of educating clients and using my knowledge to more efficiently express concerns to clients. My current position has allowed me to enhance my skills in organization, self-motivation, and problem-solving for managing fast-paced work. I specifically enjoy providing enrichment, husbandry, and extensive support to all the animals under my care. My high passion for working with the public, and being surrounded by nature and wildlife led me to search for a position that can help me to enhance my experience and education.
