  • Assisted 30 flood survivors and their families with their recover process.
  • Built relationships with each client, developing working plans to meet each of their specific recovery needs, all while maintaining absolute confidentiality.
  • Assisted with grant writing, FEMA appeals, presentation of cases to Long Term Recovery Team for additional assistance.
  • Through this position, I have been able to establish great working relationships with many local officials, emergency management, and recovery groups.
  • Learned to navigate many housing applications, assistance programs, grant applications and many other resources.
  • Attended Disaster Case Management training, taken several FEMA courses, and will be learning more about CDBG-DR (Community Block Grant-Disaster Recovery) funding as it comes available in next few months.
