I grew up on a farm we had cattle, sheep, hogs, horses, ducks, cats and raised and showed dogs. I love to camp, garden, bake, cook, decorate cakes and cookies. I learned to crochet, because my great grandmother did it. We were a 4-H family, I got awards for sewing, dogs, cats, horse, hogs, foods, and arts. I continued on in 4-H to become a dog judge in 4-H, I have judge all over the state of Kansas, and several time at the State Fair.
I worked to put myself through college. I thought I wanted to be a teacher, then thought, not sure I could handle children. I also thought about accounting. I was going back to go into nursing when I meet my husband. We married and started our little "L" family. We have 6 girls and 1 boy, ranging from 21 to 10 1/2 in age. My world was being a gopher for my husband, running after parts, driving a truck or a swather, when needed. Or I love to help process the cattle or hogs.
I loved being a room mom and planning parties for my kids classes, making memories. I am their biggest fan and supporter. They are involved in sports and 4-H. Since we had 5 girls in 6 years, and living 25 miles out, it was easier to be a stay at home mom. I love being there for them and my husband.
But they are growing and all being in school, was my time to go back into the work force to help with the bills. I love to be out and about with people, yet a fun night in making homemade pizza and playing a game with the family is great .
